Commonly prescribed medications like Vyvanse and Adderall can be illegal in some countries even if legally obtained elsewhere. Parents, students, advisors and parents have common concerns about ADHD perceptions in Japan and Japanese universities.

Many people find Japan to be accommodating for people with various disabilities. Both Japanese and English-speaking clinics offer high quality care for ADHD management. Teachers are often willing to make reasonable accommodations in class.
