Why Anxiety Symptoms & Panic Attacks Are SCARY! Anxiety can lead to hundreds, if not thousands, of sensations and symptoms. These symptoms can be scary, strange, or painful. We are trying to escape or eliminate danger by going into fight or flight mode. Panic attacks can result and anxiety symptoms such as chest pain, nausea and tingling, dizziness and headaches. But, this is often a safe situation. This makes it easier to recognize the anxiety symptoms that we experience.
